The binary morphs introduced with Poser 6 have many advantages, but also some drawbacks. With Binary Morph Converter, you can arrange your Poser files to really benefit from binary morphs.
Binary morphs load faster than morphs embedded in library and scene files, and they don't have to be saved with each scene again. But this is only true for figures and props that already have a PMD file that contains their morphs. Otherwise, the morphs are saved in a new PMD file for each scene. Binary Morph Converter will convert your Poser files to use binary morphs. This remarkably reduces loading time and file size for figures and props with many morphs.
The Binary Morph Converter associates each PMD file with the geometry file it is used for. This allows to reuse the same PMD file in different library and scene files for the same figure or prop. Even if you already used binary morphs in your scenes, Binary Morph Converter can redirect and collect all morphs for a figure or prop in one PMD file. It can even inject additional morphs from a PMD file into an existing figure or prop.
When using binary morphs, you no longer have to use morph injections. You can simply inject all your morphs and have all morphs each time you use a figure, no matter how many they are. Because the morphs are stored in an external PMD file, the loading time of the figure or prop and the file size of scenes using them will be almost the same as if there were no morphs. Instead of waiting several seconds or even minutes when applying a morph injection pose, the poses without injections will apply instantly. Binary Morph Converter will create the poses without morph injections for you. Even after converting the morphs, you can still inject additional morphs.
The Binary Morph Converter can also convert files using binary morphs back to embedded morphs for use with older Poser versions. A manual with several small tutorials on how to use the Binary Morph Converter is included.
Note: For Poser 6, you need SR2 or SR3. In previous versions, binary morphs were not saved for props in some cases. Even in SR2 and SR3, there is still a problem with props in one particular case, but it is a rare case and the manual explains a simple workaround for this problem. This problem is fixed in Poser 7.
